The USO is sending a card to our deployed troops this 4th of July to show our support for those men and women tasked with keeping us safe and securing our freedoms.
Tis the season for holiday cheer, but it's always nice to remember the men and women that are serving in our armed forces, especially those stationed away from home.
A very special puck drop took place in Boston, Mass. on Saturday night. The Boston NHL hockey team - The Bruins - invited the parents of Lt. Charles Jacobs, of the 182nd infantry, for the ceremonial puck drop to begin the game. Instead what they got was a surprise!
We here at My Country like to consider ourselves pretty patriotic. We constantly salute our troops, and play the "Star-Spangled Banner" everyday at Noon.
