Teen Cancer Survivor Visits Wyoming Thanks To Make-A-Wish [Video]
You may recognize 13-year-old Sage from her recent Subaru commercials. The cancer survivor is also a Make-A-Wish ambassador who simply wanted a trip to Wyoming.
Just after Sage's 12th birthday, she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer after doctors found a mass in her rib-cage. Sage faced surgery and chemotherapy. She lost thirty pounds and her hair. Thankfully, in late 2016 after a long battle, she was announced to be cancer-free.
During Sage's battle, the Make-A-Wish team interviewed her to find out what she'd most like to do.
"My main wish was to go to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I heard that there was the best snowboarding in the country there. I was so excited to get my wish, I've been wanting to snowboard for a long time. Nobody's telling me to go get blood work or go get a scan right now." - Sage Escolante
You may have recognized Sage from her Subaru commercial. She was able to show off her ukulele and singing talents in front of a national audience. In return, Subaru decided to sponsor her Make-A-Wish trip.
