Ways To Make Extra Money Living In Wyoming
If you're strapped for cash and living in Wyoming, be thankful you don't live in one of the 41 US states with a state income tax.
These nine don't have a state tax on your income:
- Wyoming
- South Dakota
- Alaska
- Tennessee
- Florida
- Texas
- Nevada
- New Hampshire**
- Washington**
(**capital gains, dividends, and interest are taxed)
The other states all make you pay a tax after the federal government takes its cut of your money. It's not cheap to live in states like California (13.30%), New York (10.90%), Oregon (9.90%), or Minnesota (9.85%) because of the high state income taxes.
Living in a state with a high income tax is tough, so be thankful we live in a state with low taxes. You can take advantage of that extra income you see on your check.
I'm sure many of you are like me.
Look back on the money you've wasted over the years, wishing you hadn't eaten out or hit the bars as much, and put that money toward your future. Or, maybe you're the opposite and did just that, saved.
Through the years, I've learned that it's never too late to start. One thing you can do is use tax strategies to benefit your financial future.
I'm not a financial or investment planner, but the web contains helpful information for figuring things out. With all of the options of how to invest, where your money's going, and the best places to put your money, it's always a good idea to explore.
Again, I'm not a financial guru, but I like to research and stumble across things that make me think.
This video explains taxes and how you can use them in your favor.
