H.I.L.L.S Designed Space Launch Vehicle
A Wheatland, Wyoming venture is helping to build an aerospace revolution! The group has designed and tested a resuable rocket plane to demonsttrate the advantage of winged space launch as a viable option for the future in aerospace travel.
Their volunteer led effort is currently seeking funding on the social website - Kickstarter - for a unique aerospace technology advancement.
Horizontal In Line Launch Staging or H.I.L.L.S. is a method of launching aircraft that may change aviation and space launch operations. Our Kickstarter crowd funding effort will seek backing for a large model airplane to demonstrate the technology. Teams based in Wyoming and Arizona will provide professional skills to deliver the project.
The system joins two aircraft together in a straight line to provide a powerful booster aircraft to aid a smaller aircraft during the takeoff phase of a flight.
Space launchers that fly to space from a runway are not new, but placing the stages in line offers aerodynamic efficiency, lower weight, and safety advantages. It can also allow an airliner to be smaller and more fuel efficient, or help drones to arrive at their service altitude.
