Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame spent some quality time with us on the phone today. He talked about what it takes to start a new business in Wyoming and some hunting possibilities for his family near Casper.

Willie said the key to starting a business in Wyoming or anywhere is finding something you love to do and believe in.

I also learned that Willie's family has come to Wyoming for a deer hunt and he's apparently been invited to Casper. Here's my interview with Willie Robertson on My Country 95.5 this morning. It includes a swell story about how his brother Jase Robertson used to steal worms from his worm farm. Really.

Willie Robertson - "I had a pretty vibrant worm farm business. I sold worms to fisherman that came along the banks of the river, but that was a real labor-intensive business and my siblings kept stealing my inventory which is never a good thing."

I asked Willie if that was Jase Robertson applying his fishing skills.

Willie Robertson - "He was putting his thievery skills to work because he was stealing my worms."

Willie said the key to starting a business in Wyoming or anywhere is finding something you love to do and believe in. He said that one of his brothers has been deer hunting in Wyoming and he has learned about the Hunting With Heroes program near Casper.

Willie Robertson - "You know. It's weird that you say that. I think someone just invited me to that...they told me about that event. They said they were from Wyoming, so I'm gonna look that back up because it sounds interesting."

By the way, Willie has a new book called American Entrepreneur that just came out today. It's got some great advice for anyone in Wyoming looking to start a new business.
