They refused to let a first round setback define the 2018 College National Finals Rodeo for a team roping tandem that won the Central Rocky Mountain Region and led the nation coming into the CNFR in Casper. Kellan Johnson from Gillette College and Trey Yates roping for the host Casper College Thunderbirds stayed cooled and came through starting with a morning slack run of 7.1 seconds and ending Tuesday night's first official performance even faster.
