Lots of students may be seeking affordable transportation to get them around this summer. On Wyoming's Craigslist there are several entries for $1,000 or less, maybe you could win a grand with our May contest.
1973 Volkswagon Bug
This classic VW Beetle would be perfect for the mechanic looking for a project car. The asking price is only $950, but that's without a working engine. The old one with the seized piston is still inside the bug. This car is sure to stand out wherever it's parked, which is currently in Laramie.
1982 Mercury Grand Marquis
For $900 you could pick up this vintage 1982 Mercury Grand Marquis in Cheyenne. You could be cruising in style and know that you are safer in your road yacht than in all those little plastic and lightweight metal models.
1996 VW Jetta
This 1996 VW Jetta can be picked up in Cheyenne for only $900. It has a sunroof and leather seats but needs some work. At least it comes with a good supply of fresh Culligan water.
2002 Pontiac Sunfire
If you know a UW student commuting over the summit, this might be the perfect vehicle. This 'well-maintained' 2002 Pontiac Sunfire has high mileage but has had regular routine oil changes. They are asking $1,000 or best offer.

This 1995 vehicle in Laramie is listed as a 'Fort Explorer XLT' and you could probably drive it to just about any one of the historic forts around Wyoming. You might not be able to tell how fast you're going because the speedometer doesn't work, but it's selling for only $1,000.

You'll be stylin' in this 1988 Honda Civic LX, available in Laramie for $1,000 or best offer. It does have an overheating problem due to a malfunctioning fan sensor. Just make sure you know how to drive a manual transmission.
