Lots of students may be seeking affordable transportation to get them around this summer. On Wyoming's Craigslist there are several entries for $1,000 or less, maybe you could win a grand with our May contest.

This classic VW Beetle would be perfect for the mechanic looking for a project car. The asking price is only $950, but that's without a working engine. The old one with the seized piston is still inside the bug. This car is sure to stand out wherever it's parked, which is currently in Laramie.

For $900 you could pick up this vintage 1982 Mercury Grand Marquis in Cheyenne. You could be cruising in style and know that you are safer in your road yacht than in all those little plastic and lightweight metal models.

This 1995 vehicle in Laramie is listed as a 'Fort Explorer XLT' and you could probably drive it to just about any one of the historic forts around Wyoming. You might not be able to tell how fast you're going because the speedometer doesn't work, but it's selling for only $1,000.
