With CNFR in town, it would be a tough time for a restaurant to close, especially one of the few restaurants that remain open after the action at the Ford Wyoming Center is over.

That's probably the reason Casper Denny's restaurant is waiting to close their dining room so they can give it a shiny new look.

Beginning June 23, just two days after the CNFR concludes for the year, Denny's will close its dining room. However, never fear; you can still order a 'Moons over My Hamy,' 'Grand Slamwich,' or 'Red, White, and Berry Pancakes' and get it delivered through DoorDash, Uber Eats, or at Dennys.com.

According to Denny's Facebook page, the dining room will be closed for the rest of June but will reopen in July, just in time for the Central Wyoming Fair and PRCA Rodeo to come to town on the 4th of July Weekend.

Denny's made its return to Casper in 2015 at its current location and, like many other 24-hour locations around the city, was hit by the pandemic in 2020. The restaurant was forced to end its 24-hour status until 2023 when it announced it'd be open 24 hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Currently, the restaurant is open 7 days a week:

Monday - Thursday: 5 a.m. - 12 a.m.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 24 Hours.

Denny's has been around since 1953, when it opened as Danny's Donuts in California. Just three years later, they changed the name from Danny's Donuts to Danny's Coffee Shops. Three years after that, they changed to Denny's Coffee Shops to avoid confusion with another restaurant. Then, in 1961, 'Coffee Shops' was dropped from the name, and it officially became 'Denny's.'
