A.P.B. Out For The CA Marker Bandit

Happy Friday!  The Sun is shining, the birds are singing and somewhere hides a California Girl, $30 richer and still trying to wash black marker off of her face.  That's because ol' girl got creative and quickly drew a beard on herself to knock off a convenience store.

Even better is the fact that she tried to pass herself on as a man by lowering her voice. 

Even better than that is that the holdup was caught on tape and our crook managed to get away on a bicycle.  And even though the owners are disappointed over losing approximately two sodas, 3 bags of chips, and one of those cool 'Toby Keith-style' cowboy hats worth of stuff, the spectacle itself was almost worth it.

“He was like ‘No, no it’s a real beard.’ I was like ‘No, it’s definitely a fake beard drawn on,’” said Rahda Sharma, the station’s owner.

“I used to say that nothing would surprise me, but this, this has surprised me,” said Sgt. Rick Applegate of the Modesto Police Dept.
