With the arrival of springtime in Wyoming, so comes the annual tradition of the return of orange barrels and cones to the streets of Wyoming.

Construction season is ramping up and some areas will see more delays and construction than others.

One area in particular is Wyoming Blvd, especially between Evansville and the intersection with 2nd Street.  South bound traffic from I-25 exciting on to Wyoming Blvd. is being especially affected.  Drivers should expect significant delays in areas of heavy traffic wherever road construction is happening, especially during morning and afternoon rush hours.

Another area is on the Poplar street viaduct over the train tracks, where lane restrictions are in place and construction will continue for several weeks.

But as spring is officially arriving this week, you can expect to see more and more road construction cones and barrels pop up around town.  Some will be for planned construction projects, while others will be for emergency repairs like for pot holes, etc.

Expect significant delays in areas of heavy traffic, especially during morning and afternoon rush hours.

Please remember to slow down in construction zones and to obey all caution signs as workers will literally be just feet away from your car or truck as you pass by.
