In a re-match of the 2A East Regional final, defending state champion Big Horn took on Burns for all the marbles on Saturday at the Ford Center in Casper. Now Big Horn beat Burns 3-0 in that regional final but BH had their hands full with the Broncs in this championship match. Burns won the first set 28-26 and Big Horn came back with a 25-4 win in set #2 and you rarely see a one-sided score by that margin in a state championship match. Burns responded 25-23 win in set #3 and finished it off with a 25-20 win in set #4.

Burns played in the 3A ranks last season and returned one all-state player in Emma Norris. In fact, Norris is the only senior on this team as the Broncs won their first state championship in volleyball since 1992. Burns finished the year at 25-13-2. Big Horn had 3 returning all-state performers in Saydee Zimmer, Emma Prior, and Emme Mullinax. The Rams wrapped up the season at 30-9.
