Casper Author’s Adding A Great Twinkle To The Holidays
If you're an up-and-coming author looking for advice or help starting your career, living in Wyoming is a great way to get started. The artistic talent in the Cowboy State is fascinating, and they are all cheerleaders for each other's success.
We have writers who focus on mystery and crime, those who embark on a romantic path, and others who combine words and illustration to entertain children.
Leslie Colburn is one of the Casper-based authors broadening kids' minds and has a new book out just in time for the holiday season called, "Twinkle, the Littlest Star."
The book follows Twinkle, a child star who doesn't shine as brightly as others. In her journey to discover who she is, she's shunned by all the other little stars glowing in the sky. Then, on one special night, it was Twinkle's time to shine, and shine she did.
The book took four years to create, but when you read it with your kids and all light up with joy, you'll realize it was worth the wait.
The book will be available Today, November 12. You can buy the book at Wind City Books in Casper, Amazon.com, or Leslie Colburn.com.
In honor of the release, Leslie will hold an open house book signing event at The Cottage Cafe, 116 S. Lincoln in Casper, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Families are invited to meet the author, enjoy a reading of the book, and participate in festive activities. There will also be an opportunity to help provide books for children at The Seton House, a Casper organization that helps single parents and their children.
