The Casper College Alumni Association will host the annual Homecoming festivities at the Swede Erickson Thunderbird Gym on Saturday, Jan. 26 as the T-Birds take on the Cougars of Western Nebraska Community College.
The Casper College Alumni Association will serve free chili, beginning at 2:30 p.m. prior to the start of the women’s game at 3 p.m. The men will take to the court at 5 p.m. In addition to the free chili there will be several door prizes, a 50-50 raffle, free face painting and balloons for the kids, a T-Bird Pride contest for student groups, and Kormak, the t-shirt launching robot.
Megan Graham, electronics and robotics technology instructor said this about Kormak
“Kormak started out as a trainer robot for Casper College programming students. Then in 2012 he was rebuilt by Casper College students Justin Hart and Kenny Wells into a t-shirt and ball launcher, Since then Casper College student Chris Burns has made several improvements to the launch system as well as updating the programming. Burns will be operating Kormak at the game,”
Admission is only $1 per person, Both games will also be broadcast live on KKTL (1400 AM) radio and can be viewed at caspercollege.edu/webcast.
