The Casper College Theatre and Dance Department will hold auditions for its summer musical “The Producers” on Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Empey Black Box Theatre. Call backs will be held on Sunday, April 27 from 2 to 5 p.m.

According to Douglas Garland, director,

“The Producers” “was winner of more Tony Awards than any other show in history, and was based on the classic Mel Brooks’ film starring Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder.”

Those wishing to audition are asked to prepare a verse and refrain from any upbeat musical song that shows their range and power.

Garland also points out,

“I am also asking all those who audition to prepare a 60-second humorous monologue or story. During the audition, each person will also be asked to learn a brief dance sequence,”

“The Producers” will be performed on the McMurry Mainstage July 17 through 19 and 23 through 26 at 7:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. performance on July 27.
