The Casper College Thunderbirds were eliminated from the Women's Junior College Basketball Tournament on Thursday night as they lost to Northwest Florida State 76-69 at the Ford Center in Casper. The T-Birds were the 14th seed in the tourney and beat Blinn, Texas in the first round on Wednesday night. Casper College was lights-out in the first half against Northwest Florida State as they shot 66% from the floor and made 7, 3 pointers in the 1st quarter. At one point in the first half, they led by as many as 13.

The 2nd half was a different story for the T-Birds as they couldn't buy a basket, shooting just 17% from the floor on 4-23 from the field. Northwest Florida State was the 3rd seed in the tournament and the defending national champion and played like champions in the 2nd half. Their execution was sharp and got a combined 48 points from Destiney McPhaul and Deborah Davenport. The Raiders had too much quickness and height for the T-BIrds to handle.

Casper College was led in scoring by Anna Csenyi with 20 with Andi Schisslier throwing in 17. Overall, the Birds shot 42% from the floor and made 11, 3 pointers out of 21 attempts. They finish the season at 29-6.
