The fans have spoken.  They also got to witness country's hottest (as far as pyrotechnics go) and most rebellious award show, The CMTs.

The stars have no one  to please here but themselves and the fans, and you can tell that they prefer it that way.  As always, it was a spectacle, and this year's crop proved that they can party with the best of them and have a helluva lot of fun in the process.  The performances were great and would have had grandma not believing her eyes and covering yours.

Blake Shelton would take home the most trophies, with two.  He would snag the buckles for Male Video of the Year, and Web Video of the Year.  His new wife, Miranda Lambert would add to the good fortune by taking Female Video of the Year.

Pleasant surprises would include Taylor Swift (who got to have some fun earlier with Shania Twain) being rewarded with the biggie, Video of the Year, and that lucky little rascal Justin Bieber winning his very first CMT for his collaboration with Rascal Flatts. That buckle's as big as he is!  You can rest assured that Justin's mega legions of young fans were bringing out the vote for That Should Be Me. Well, Justin, it's 'you' buddy.

Hot Stuff!  A couple more quick notes--you gotta love Zac Brown and the boys, and Toby Keith is the man.
