Quick, what do Buddy Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Josh Gracin all have in common?   Ding, ding, ding...you're right!  They are all country stars who we came to know through televison shows like American Idol and Nashville Star.  And if CMT has their way, another one will soon join the ranks.

Tomorrow night is the premiere of the new reality-based talent showcase, CMT's Next Superstar. Creator, Nigel Lythgoe (you might remember that name from AI and So You Think You Can Dance) promises that even though it is a talent search for the best singers out there, it's not American Idol II.

Nigel says instead of just being a "shiny floor show,' Superstar is searching for the complete package--"a singer/songwriter who has the personality and the chops to perform in public for money."  Where do I sign up?

Competing for the honor are ten uniquely qualified talents who have already begun making their mark in various ways.  Will it be Matt Dame, Danielle Lauderdale, Andrea Pearson, Steven Clawson, Bri Bagwell, Adrienne Beasley, Matt Mason, Courtney Cale, Wynn Varble, or Ben Smith, that takes home the honor?

I guess we'll just have to watch to find out--or you can just hit the website-we'll tell ya!

We're not tired of these shows, yet...are we?
