Extremely Rare Toad Named After Wyoming
The extremely rare Wyoming toad was once considered totally extinct.
The amphibian was listed as an endangered species in 1984 and went extinct in the wild since 1991. Luckily, conservationists found and captured around a dozen of them in the early 90's.
The only known living Wyoming toad's currently live in captivity at the Mortenson Lake National Wildlife Refuge near Laramie.
