2026 may be the year of the campground in Wyoming. We all know that family vacations are not cheap, but if you've been looking to book a trip for this summer and fly, wowza. Flights are expensive, hotels are expensive, food is expensive, and fun is expensive.

For those reasons alone, the appeal of recreational vehicles and tents is growing. The Dyrt, an app for consumer camping information, predicts a significant increase in travel trailer and RV camping in 2026.

Since mobile accommodation options have become more favorable and accessible, the camping industry has had the opportunity to adapt and cater to a wider range of campers. RV and trailer camping caters to all sorts of campers. Couples can even have a charming getaway in the forest!

Since 2020, the number of families who've opted for outdoor camping adventures has increased significantly, and for many of them, a full-on vacation (including hotels, airfare, gas, food, and entertainment) isn't feasible at today's prices. By considering travel trailers/RVs, you're opening the door to a summer of adventures and more affordable vacations.

I've been crunching numbers for a Wyoming-based camping trip using a camper and staying at one of the many campgrounds statewide, and they look more appealing than a trip outside the state lines.

One of the first things I've noticed is that you have MANY options for campgrounds, National and State Parks, and, depending on your comfort levels, even off-grid camping.

If you're considering RV Life, doing research on the trailer you're considering is a must. Choose the RV that fits your budget and lifestyle, while considering what you can tow, your storage needs, upkeep costs, and what will best fit your family.

I've been following the YouTube Channel, RV Inspection and Care, and I'm telling you, I get pulled down the RV rabbit hole every time, but I learn something new. If you're on a tight budget and looking to get an RV, check out this video.
