The Country world is abuzz right now with talk of the upcoming Grammys and the ACM's. In the midst of it all is the man...George Strait!

George Strait is out on the road carrying over his highly successful 2010 tour with Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack.  He's also just been nominated for his 82nd career Academy of Country Music award.  This time for "Male Vocalist of the Year."  He's won this particular award six times and been nominated 18 times.  George says, "I never get tired of hearing my name in these announcements. I'm thankful to the fans and the ACM."

With a career that has spanned more than three decades, George Strait has the most #1 singles of any artist in history, including Elvis.  (57 to date.)  He has sold nearly 69 million records, and with 33 different platinum or multi-platinum albums has the most RIAA platinum certifications in country music and the third in all genres, behind The Beatles and Elvis. Strait's current single is "The Breath You Take."

So glad he's on "our" side, by George!  Just thought you should know.
