Happy Birthday to the Girl Scouts!  Thanks to the innovation of founder, Juliette Gordon Low, Girl Scouts of the USA are celebrating a century of transforming, educating, and enlightening our nation's young women.  They are marking the milestone with a variety of events throughout the year.

First up is a Journey through Girl Scouting 1932-1951, in which the Girl Scouts travel back in time to see how scouting was transformed during the Great Depression and other noteworthy events that shaped our culture during the '30s and '40s. They'll play with, and be entertained with period toys and  crafts.

Next, the You GO Girl-Fitness Sampler, a six-week fitness course designed to introduce these young ladies to new forms of fitness and exercise, healthy-eating habits, and maintenance.

Be a princess when The Casper Ice Princess invites you to a private skating party on March 13th.  Wear your best costumes and watch the Ice Princess perform. You'll also learn some of the finer points like jumping and spinning with a two hour skating session.  crowns and hats, hot chocolate, and cookies will be provided. Then on March 20th, all the princesses will meet at the Scout House for a showing of Ice Princess, complete with big screen and popcorn.

Winter Survival and Snow Fun can be found February 25th-26th at Camp Sacajawea. They'll be a bunch of winter activities including snowshoeing, building a snow shelter, winter cook out, and avalanche education.

Speaking of winter, Hogadon will give the girls a lesson in skiing or snowboarding on March 17th. All equipment and an all-day lift ticket is provided.
