I-25 North of Casper Open With ‘No Unnecessary Travel’ Advisories
Interstate 25 north of Casper reopened Monday morning after being closed Sunday afternoon and overnight.
However, WYDOT warned of black ice in the Kaycee area, issuing a 'no unnecessary travel' advisory for the northbound and southbound lanes in that area where a slick road surface, strong winds and blowing snow were reported.
Black ice was also reported on I-25 between Casper and Glenrock.
Meanwhile, the southbound lanes of I-25 from US 18/20 to Wheatland were closed due to a rolling closure, and all lanes of I-25 remained closed from Wheatland to Cheyenne due to winter conditions.
