It was recently announced that acclaimed Nashville performer/songwriter Jim Lauderdale would be joining us at Beartrap this year.

For anyone who might still be saying "Jim Lockenwho?", we give you more insight to this very respected musician, courtesy of TasteofCountry.com.  They just uncovered the lyrics to a song that Jim co-wrote called Where The Sidewalk Ends, for the 1992 George Strait movie, Pure Country.

Just to reacquaint you, Jim Lauderdale not only has his hands on songs for George, including the recent hits, Twang and I Gotta Get To You, but also tunes for Patty Loveless (who headlined last year's festival), The Dixie Chicks, Vince Gill, and others.

Jim also hosts a monthly concert in Knoxville, and a couple of different radio programs on WSM Radio.  The guy knows how to keep busy.

Check out this video and then be sure to check out another fantastic addition to our lineup--Jim Lauderdale at the Beartrap Summer Festival, Saturday, August 6th.
