New National Survey Says Americans Support Stricter Gun Laws

I recently came across this survey about gun laws and public safety.

According to the results of their poll…

Nearly 7 in 10 Americans support stricter gun laws in the United States.

The survey went on to say “77 percent of Americans with no guns in their household would like to see gun laws made tougher.” I was not surprised to read that “Only 47 percent of personal gun owners and 53 percent of those with guns in their household favor stricter gun laws.”

Doing my due diligence, I delved a little deeper into the survey.

It turns out they only polled 1,063 adults.

I couldn’t find anywhere where it said where these adults lived.

Were they in Urban or Rural areas?

Call me a cynic, but I’d be willing to bet they didn’t poll many people (or anyone) living in Wyoming.

Maybe we should use this survey as yet another gentle reminder to look closely at where these statistics we see in the headlines are coming from.
