Ten Reasons Why We Love Living In Casper, Wyoming

I follow quite a few Casper-area groups on Facebook, and from time to time, I'll see a post from someone who is either A, moving to Casper, or B, moving to Wyoming and isn't sure which area they want to move to, so they ask for people to share their thoughts.

I see people unnecessarily getting upset with people who ask questions like that, and respond with answers like, "Do your own research," "You have Google, look it up," and my favorite, "Don't come here, try somewhere else." Those are not the answers the post's author had in mind, but in the sea of negativity, there are always a few who come through with the answers that they are looking for and are helpful.

Social media has changed how we do things, and how it CAN be used for good rather than always for evil, but when you open up and read the comments, the evil is there. After seeing this, I thought: if I were helping someone decide on Casper as their moving destination, what three things would I tell them?

When I started thinking about it, choosing just three was too difficult. Every time I thought I was settled on the three, something else would come to my mind, and I'd start the process over. Eventually, I realized that I was worrying about a situation that wasn't real and that there isn't a right or wrong answer. I also realized that this was my project and that I could change the rules.
