Russell Stienmetz of Torrington and Rob Hammond from Buffalo were chosen as the head coaches for the 51st annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl all-star football game. Executive Director Fran Selby announced the duo on Saturday. Stienmetz will coach the South Team, and Hammond will coach the North team. The two head coaches were selected after nominations from their peers around the state.

The next step for Stienmetz and Hammond will be to put together their coaching staff. Once they are formed, each staff will choose the players for the two teams for the Shrine Bowl. That will be on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Natrona County High School in Casper.

Stienmetz led the Trailblazers to the Class 2A state championship last November in Laramie. Hammond guided the Bison to the Class 3A semifinals.
