It all comes down to this one final game.

The athletes, trainers, and managers from Wyoming high school football teams will be completing their high school football careers on Saturday at Dick Cheney Alumni Field. The 53rd Annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl kicks off Saturday at 2 pm, but that's not where the day begins.

The players, coaches, trainers, managers, and some families have been in Casper since last Sunday, practicing and preparing for the game. These players are the best of the best in the state of Wyoming; for some, the Shrine Bowl will be their final game. Some players will continue playing in college, but those who aren't are ready to put it all on the line this Saturday.

During Shrine Bowl week, Casper rolls out the red carpet for them, and Shrine Bowl Director Larry Yeradi says it's awesome to see.

They've supported this game, I believe, it's going on its 34th year that it has been held in Casper since it was brought up from Laramie, and Casper is just so gracious.

Many of the players first strapped on a football helmet in their single digits and have continued playing ever since. For much of the public, they'll never see the hard work these players put in off the field to play the game they love, but being chosen for the Shrine Bowl is proof that it's paid off.

Friday night, there's a banquet to highlight both teams, North and South, then on Saturday, it's all about the players. They're All-Stars, and it's time for them to shine.

Saturday morning begins with the Shrine Bowl parade at 10 am, and an opportunity to show appreciation for the work put in by everyone involved with the game. The parade route begins at Park Elementary and heads North on Center (past City Park), East on 6th, South on Wolcott, and west on 9th.
