8th Annual Wing Ding Brings All-you-can-eat Wings To Casper Saturday
I'm not sure when it happened, but I could almost eat spicy chicken wings every day. Financially, I don't know if I could afford it, but otherwise, I could. I've always been in the "the spicier, the better" camp, even though there are some aftereffects that have to be dealt with, but it's worth it.
Actually, that's one of the things I like about the Casper Shrine Club's 'Wind-Ding ': there are wings from all different walks of life, and if you like wings, you'll find one that is right up your alley. So if you're not a "hot wing" fan, you can find a milder or sweeter wing flavor.
Another thing I like is that it's not just 2 or 3 people tossing their, uh, wings into the ring; 11 teams have unique styles, flavors, and appeals.
This year is the 8th Annual Wing Ding, and the teams are lined up and ready for Saturday, August 22, at 11 a.m. at the Casper Shrine Club (1501 West 39th Street). If you're a chicken wing lover and connoisseur, you'll love the $15 for adults and $6 for kids all-you-can-eat price tag.
As you're floating from booth to booth looking for your favorite wings, make sure that you keep mental notes, because you'll get to cast your vote for your favorite wing. Plus, you can kick back with a couple beers, play chicken poo poo BINGO, win some great prizes, and spend the day with your family.
This year's wing ding cooking teams are:
- Smokin' Hot Butts
- CY Ace Hardware
- The Railyard
- Pizza Ranch
- Red Ribbon Wings
- The Hangar Bar & Grill
- I Scream 4 Wings
- Inter-Mountain Pipe & Threading Co.
- Cluckin' Smokeshow
- Egginton's
- Boomtown Blast
