"Lizzie and the Rainman" was a 1975 Country and Western hit that Tanya Tucker would take all the way to #1.  It was written in 1971 by Kenny O'Dell and Larry Henley.  Before Tanya recorded it, it would be laid down by both Bobby Goldsboro and The Hollies.

It was released as the first single from Tanya's, Tanya Tucker album, and would mark the only time Tanya ever appeared on the pop charts.  She was 16 at the time.

Here's "Lizzie and the Rainman."
