A winter weather advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight to 9:00 PM Thursday.

Snow is expected to develop between midnight tonight and 6:00 AM Thursday. Snow could be heavy at times during the day Thursday. Snow is expected to quickly taper off Thursday evening. Snowfall totals... 2 to 4 inches with isolated 6 inches on the south side of Casper. Casper Mountain should see 5 to 10 inches.  Visibility and wind northeast wind of 20 to 30 mph in combination with bursts of heavier snow will result in localized white out conditions in rural areas.

Main impact, roads will become slick and hazardous Thursday morning. Travel could be difficult at times especially in rural areas. Hunters in the area should expect snow with wet and cold conditions. Also low visibility at times could be very disorientating.

Significant snowfall for far northwest mountains today then east of the divide and Sweetwater County tonight and Thursday. An approaching pacific storm system will result in snow showers becoming more widespread across western Wyoming today. The heaviest snow today is expected to occur over Yellowstone south into the Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains. A strong cold front is expected to push into northern Wyoming this morning and into central Wyoming this afternoon with snowfall breaking out quickly late this afternoon into the evening across northern Wyoming spreading southward during tonight into early Thursday morning. The snow is expected to taper off from northwest to southeast.
