Wyoming federal judges recently sentenced eight people for methamphetamine, heroin and firearms crimes, according to a news release from the Wyoming U.S. Attorney’s Office.

U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl sentenced three defendants for methamphetamine-related crimes:

  • Martina Caspari, 41, of Salt Lake City received three years, 10 months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of probation for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Caspari was arrested in Sweetwater County.
  • Randolfo Librado Chavez, Jr., 25, of Loveland, Colo., received seven years, 11 months of imprisonment to be followed by five years of probation for distribution of methamphetamine. Chavez was arrested in Cheyenne.
  • Darrell Joe Irla, 50, of Salem, Iowa, was received 11 years, three months of imprisonment to be followed by five years of probation for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Irla was arrested in Carbon County.

These cases were investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.

Skavdahl sentenced four people whose cases were investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives:

  • Mark Edward Collins, 42, of Gillette received five years, three months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of probation for being an unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm.
  • Christopher Lamar Williams, 32, of Jacksonville, Fla., received six years, six months of imprisonment to be followed by five years of probatoin for possession with intent to distribute heroin and for possession of a firearm in furtherance of a federal drug trafficking crime. Williams was arrested in Evanston.
  • Edwin Moses Jacobs, 29, of Sheridan received three years, seven months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of probation for being a felon in possession of firearms.
  • Evan Aubrey Armstrong, 36, of Casper received three years, 10 months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of probation for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced Dalton Shae Self, 26, of Douglas for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He received one year, nine months of imprisonment to be followed by three years of probation.
