Here's some good news for parents. Wyoming has one of the lowest rates of teenage drug use in the country.

According to a study published by MSN, 7.84 percent of children in Wyoming between the ages of 12 and 17 used an illicit drug in 2015.

Those rates rise among young adults. 16.71 percent of Wyoming residents between the ages of 18 and 25 admitted to using drugs.

Those numbers might seem high, but Wyoming actually has the 10th lowest rate of drug use among teenagers and young adults nationwide.

Colorado had the highest percentage of drug use in the study. 14.43 percent of 12 to 17 year-olds used drugs in 2015, along with 32.4percent of 18 to 34 year-olds.

Another Wyoming neighbor, South Dakota, had the lowest rate of drug use in the country. 6.11percent of children from 12-17 used drugs in 2015, compared to 14.65 percent in the 18-34 age group.
