Good news!  Turns out there's a good reason why it's been six years since Faith Hill has released a new album...she'd just as soon get it right from the start.  Who would've thought?

Faith recently had a sitdown with Billboard.com to discuss her new project and shared this:

"I would like to have a record out, but it hasn't been the right thing yet. I don't want it to be just another record. It's a lot of work to support a record, so I just want it to be...really great. I want it to represent where I am as a woman. I don't want it to be fake. I want it to be authentic and real."

Mrs. Tim McGraw also mentioned her current recording sessions, adding:

"I'm not even prepared to talk about it right now. I'm right in the middle of it, so it's really hard to describe what it is until I'm done. That's the honest truth. I'll be able to tell more, maybe once I come out of the studio in the spring."

So, there you go...we've learned almost absolutely nothing! But...Faith did go on to say that a lot has changed in her world since her last album of all new material, Fireflies, was released.  She's seen a definite shift in her priorities, especially with dealing with her and Tim's three daughters, two of which are entering their teenage years.

"It's changed how I do my business and everything." She explains, "I feel very blessed I'm able to stay home with my kids. My husband works really hard and I'm a wife and that's the path that I've chosen. The other things that I do really have to fit in around that. I've been working [on an album] for awhile, but it just takes a little bit longer. And that's okay."

Works for us, too!  Take your time and get it right.  Are you excited about Faith Hill's new album?
