#2 Sheridan Stuns #1 Rock Springs in 4A Football

It was #1 vs. #2 in 4A football on Friday night as top-ranked Rock Springs made the long trip northbound to meet 2nd ranked Sheridan. This was an epic game with Sheridan at one point holding a 20-7 lead.

Rock Springs had a ferocious rally in the 2nd half, to take the lead one point 21-20 and with a field goal, led 24-20. Sheridan save some heroics for late in the game as the Broncs faced a 4th down 1 with a minute and a half to go. On a short pass, Colson Coon turned on the jets and scampered 69 yards for the touchdown, outrunning everyone in the process. The Sheridan sideline and fans erupted. The Rock Springs sideline and fans were in shock.

Sheridan's defense held on the last Rock Springs possession to win this one 27-24 to improve to 4-0 on the season. The Broncs will travel to Cheyenne East this week. Rock Springs falls to 3-1 and will host Natrona on Friday.
