If you haven't been keeping track, Wyoming's spring Walleye fishing is heating up. The Wyo Hunters and Fisherman Walleye League begins May 7 and runs through mid-August. The Wyoming Walleye Stampede's first tournament on the circuit is Mother's Day Weekend, and now's a good time to get a line in the water.
The fishing may be heating up, but the weather still throws anglers the good ole spring in Wyoming curveball. It's hot one day, snow the next, and then comfortable with a thunderstorm. We often say, "If you plan what you're going to do around the weather, you'll never do anything."
