Fortunately, no one was injured when a fire broke out in west Cheyenne last (Tuesday) night.

Cheyenne Fire Rescue spokesman Scott Smith says firefighters were called to a single-story structure in the 1200 block of Dodge Court around 10 p.m.

When crews arrived on scene, they found an unoccupied house fully engulfed in flames.

Because of unstable floor and foundation issues, firefighters were not able to make an interior attack on the fire and ended up battling the blaze for three hours.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
