Check Out What’s On The Big Screen At Edness K
Summer is moving fast; before you know it, the kids will return to school. Take advantage of every moment that you can. There are great options for you to participate 6 miles east of Casper, at Edness K. Wilkins State Park.
The park is having a great family movie night on the pond.
It's a cool concept.
You and your family can float and relax in the water while watching a movie on the jumbo movie screen. The movie will be the 2007 surfing penguin movie Surf's Up.
The movie is perfect for family time, especially when chilling on the water.
Surfing means everything to teenage penguin Cody Maverick (Benoît Brière). Followed by a documentary film crew, he leaves his home in Antarctica for Pen Gu Island, site of the the Big Z Memorial Surf Off. Cody wants to be respected and admired, and he believes that winning the competition will bring him what he craves. However, an encounter with washed-up surfer Geek (Mariloup Wolfe) teaches Cody about what is truly important.
Check out the trailer, grab snacks, swimsuits, and floating devices, and head to Edness K on Friday, July 26, at 9 pm.
Plenty of events are still on the park's schedule through September, but this will be the last movie on the pond night, and Natrona County Schools begins in just one month, on August 26.
Make plans to check out other upcoming events, and don't forget to pay your park use fees.
