There are lots of exciting things going on in the City of Mills.

There's a new Big D convenience store about to be completed on the corner of West Yellowstone Highway and the Belt Loop.

According to a post on the city's Facebook page, 2025 was a big year for growth, with about 30 new homes constructed and/or moved into the area, with many more homes, parks, and businesses coming in 2026.

A business that caught my eye that is back in action for 2026 is the Yellowstone Grill. Located alongside the Casper area's only true donut shop, Daylight Donuts, the Yellowstone Grill gives you an opportunity for a lunch that won't break the bank.

The menu at the Yellowstone Grill reminds me of the good ol' days, when you could walk into a restaurant, order a burger and fries, and not need to take out a loan or miss your next rent payment. At YG, you can grab a burger and fries for just $10. Throw a slice of cheese on it, and it's $11. How about a Reuben, chili dog, or chicken strips? They're all available too.

There aren't many places you can go to get a burger and fries, and a donut for dessert. That's my kind of lunch option. The Daylight Donuts side is open from 5 am until the donuts are gone, and the Yellowstone Grill opens at 10:30, so you could make it happen.

What a great time to be alive. The City of Mills is growing and thriving, with a legendary breakfast and lunch option; it doesn't get much better than that.
