If you're not already smiling today, maybe this will change that. There's a brand new ranking that claims Wyoming is one of the happiest states in America.

This is not just any old generic website making a claim. This new national ranking comes from the famous Gallup poll people. It's so prominent it was even shared by The Today Show.

Here are the factors that Gallup considered when putting together this super smiley face ranking:

  1. Career
  2. Social
  3. Financial
  4. Community
  5. Physical

When you read their details, it really boils down to residents who are happy doing their jobs, have a lot of great relationships, are in good shape physically and financially. Bottom line is they love where they live and how their life is going.

Overall, Wyoming is ranked as the #2 happiest state in the United States. Go us!

It gets even better when you look at the individual categories. Wyoming is #1 for community. That's the category that involves feeling safe and proud of where you live. That sounds spot-on correct. The lowest ranking for Wyoming comes in the social category where we land at #18. That also sounds about right considering how popular (or not) I was in high school. Sad face.

I look at most internet rankings and take them with a grain of salt. But, I highly encourage you to take a look at what Gallup had to say. This is based on a ton of data and will definitely put a smile on your Wyoming face.
