Thankful Thursday Auction To Benefit A Great Casper Museum

Thankful Thursday rolls on this week in hopes of keeping our hot streak alive in 2025. We've had three fantastic weeks and have another one planned for February 27 with The Nicolaysen Art Museum.

The NIC has been a staple for art lovers in Casper for years. The museum allows art lovers of all types to show off their art skills, take in an art exhibit, or explore the endless possibilities of learning more about the many art forms.

MISSION:

To collect, preserve, and exhibit the work of contemporary artists and present it to the community as a vital source of inspiration and education.

If you've ever spent time at The NIC or love the arts, you should come out to Thankful Thursday on February 27 to show your support. We'll meet at the Beacon Club in Mills at 5 p.m. and spend the evening raising money to support one of Casper's fine art institutes.

The Beacon Club offers a great "Thankful Thursday" menu and 2-for-1 happy hour drink specials.

5:00 p.m. - We begin the evening

• Give out wristbands for a chance to win prizes with the bottle draw every 15 minutes until 6:15 p.m.
• Sell ducks for Chuck-The-Duck $10 per duck, your chance to win cash.
• Sell gun raffle tickets for $10 per ticket to win a Taurus Judge.
• Sell  50/50 tickets for $1 or 6 for $5.

6:15 p.m. - Final bottle draw

6:20 p.m. - Ticket sales close, and hear from The Nicolaysen Art Museum Staff.

6:30 p.m. - The auction begins with our auctioneer, Colby Hales.

Live Theatre Package - Two tickets to see WonderOz or All in the Timing, Terra Nova or Always a Bridesmaid, Medina, Carmen, and Scotland Road produced by Casper College, Stage III, Theatre of the Poor, Opera Wyoming, and Casper Theatre Company respectively.

McMurry Gallery Rental - Rent The McMurry gallery for your wedding, reception, office party, dinner, or any other private event after regular business hours (10 AM-5 PM). Includes up to two employees, 15 tables, 95 chairs, and up to five hours of reception time.

Museum Giftshop Package - A bottle of Domaine Carneros sparkling wine with a stained glass bottle topper. A signed copy of The Thinkers illustrated by Casper artist Zachary Pullen and written by Brad Herzog, including two passes to The Casper Planetarium. Primordial Slime print by Tom West, British Earp print by Zachary Pullen, Salvador Dali Diners De Gala cookbook, children's book, and puzzle from artist Serena Bocchinno. Including gifts from Casper Class, an artisan glass wine stopper, rescued window glass earrings, a fridge magnet, and Wyoming Cowboy Christmas decorations.

Private Art Class - A 2-hour art class taught by Casper artist Jessie Bell in the Museum Classroom for up to 10 people.

Book Lover’s basket from Bookin’ It - Books include two blind dates: an adult fiction novel and a nonfiction novel. Other novel titles include The Last Lecture, The Golden Mean, Sabine's Notebook, The Iliad, and Giffen and Sabine. Cloth tote bag. Earrings, tea, orange vitamin C facemask. Children's Party - Win an unforgettable birthday party for a child in your life at The Nicolaysen! The Nancy and Doran Boston Discovery Center (DC) can host up to 80 people for up to two hours. Grown-ups are also allowed.

Canine Package - A special package for your favorite pup.

Feline Package - A special package for your favorite kitty.

Museums of Casper Basket - Family memberships to The Nicolaysen, Science Zone, and Fort Casper, as well as six passes to the Casper Planetarium. Gifts from Crimson Dawn include a signed print from Jessie Bell and associated swag.
