Wyoming Dementia Care To Shine At Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday aims to help 501c3 organizations make extra money to fund their mission.

It's not a contest on who can make the most money; the goal is to help each charity make money.

Every dollar we raise is necessary for operational costs, equipment, supplies, or any other aspect of keeping their doors open to the community. For almost every charity, the financial part is one of the toughest.

That's why Thankful Thursday began.

Over the years, the weekly totals have ranged from a couple of thousand dollars to over $40,000, but every dollar counts. Millions of dollars have been raised for these charitable organizations from Thankful Thursday, funding things like cancer research, veteran hunts, kids' health care, counseling, food banks, senior citizens, and more.

Week-to-week organizations, their supporters, and those from the community who want to help keep the Casper area charities functioning show up at the Beacon Club to raise money for that particular group.

This week's event is with Wyoming Dementia Care. 

• We'll see you at the Beacon Club beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday. Every person (21+) will receive a wristband with a number that could win you a prize.
• 50/50 tickets go on sale $1/per or 6 for $5. You'll split the pot with the charity if your ticket is drawn.
• Ducks are on sale for $10/per. Every duck you purchase gets you a chance to win $125 if you can Chuck-The-Duck into the jug.
• Raffle tickets will be sold, and our auctioneer, Colby Hales, will conduct a live auction at  6:30 p.m.

This week, with your help, we will raise money for families and caregivers of those with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia-related issues in Wyoming Dementia Care.

Wyoming Dementia Care focuses on supportive services to educate caregivers and connect them to valuable resources right here in the Natrona County area.
