Wyoming Fallen Heroes Scholarship Program

This great state of Wyoming has a debt that can never be repaid, the lives of our heroic fallen lost fighting terrorism in the Mid-East War. Thousands are still fighting but unfortunately not all will make it home, leaving families & friends facing a future with only pictures and memories.

The Hicks family lost their son Pfc. Corey Hicks in Iraq on May 2, 2008. Russel and Shannon were determined to honor his memory and his comrades who have died fighting for their country. On January 27, 2010, Wyoming Fallen Heroes Scholarship Program was established and on February 4, 2012 the 501 (c) 3 non-profit status was granted to the organization.

True to the American Spirit of Patriotism our military forces protect this nation's right to the many freedoms we take for granted. That is why we established scholarships at the eight Wyoming colleges and the University of Wyoming for students pursuing their dreams for higher excellence in education.
