A South Carolina man is facing assault charges after allegedly choking a wheelchair-bound woman ... for eating the last piece of chicken.

Apparently Clifford Smith, 44, and some other people were having dinner when an unidentified woman, who is physically disabled, reached for the last piece of chicken and began eating it.

Little did she know that Smith had his eye on the last piece – and became enraged when he saw the woman grabbing for it.

Police say that Smith hit the woman then picked up a beer bottle and smashed it against the wall. He then reportedly took his hands, placed them around the woman’s neck and began to choke her. She tried to call 911 but Smith took the phone and smashed it into pieces.

Witnesses called police and Smith was placed under arrest. (NewsOne)

 

Soda Vending Machine Rigged To Sell Beer

In Washington, D.C, police discovered a Pepsi vending machine that was selling malt liquor for $3.

Not surprisingly, the machine was a hit with neighborhood kids, who were able buy booze illegally.

Unfortunately for the kids, the cops disabled it and instructed the property owner to have it removed. (FoodBeast.com)

A South Carolina woman was arrested last week for going door to door attempting to sell items that had passed their expiration dates from a box filled with adult VHS movies.

Jeanette Ellis said that she came across the tapes in the trash and thought she could make a few bucks by peddling them to her neighbors, apparently unaware that no one actually uses a VCR anymore. One of her potential customers was offended by the offer of the X-rated product and called cops to report Ellis's solicitation. She was arrested on charges of trying to sell the tapes without a license. (The Smoking Gun)
