Wyoming Cowboys running back Milo Hall is still grieving the loss of older brother Gailen, who was shot in gang violence in July 2016. The tragedy hit hard, but as a sophomore, Milo's life has forever changed.

Milo used to talk to his brother every day, and says he still hears his voice say, “Stay focused.” Hall wore jersey number 16 last season, but this year, switched to number 3 in honor of his late brother.

Hall focused and earned the starting job this past spring. A number of running backs competed to replace Brian Hill. Brian just made the Atlanta Falcons roster and still has the Pokes career rushing record. But Milo hopes to break that record at UW.

Milo is all of 5’ 8” and 190 pounds, but he can fly in open field. He did it often at Cherry Creek High School in Colorado. It would take too much time to give all of Hall’s stats and state records in multiple categories. But he has many.

Hall originally intended to be a walk on at CSU, but opted instead for the scholarship offered to him by Wyoming. Some of Milo's former Colorado friends who play for Wyoming also wanted him here. Those friends include Andrew Wingard among others, and they have brought him into the Pokes family with open arms.

The big word Coach Bohl has stressed, and we hear his team say often, is “brothers.” Although nothing could ever replace the loss of a loved one, especially a close brother, Milo is now using his Galien's words and strength to stay focused in his brotherhood of Pokes.
