With political upheaval reaching climactic proportions, gas prices about to go through the roof, continuing natural disasters, and Lindsay Lohan facing yet another jail sentence...I thought you could use a little break.

Bronco Billy was released in 1980.(as were all of my favorite movies.)  It starred Clint Eastwood, Sondra Locke, the late, great "Scatman" Crothers, and Geoffrey Lewis.(Juliette Lewis's dad, for all you kids.)  Interesting fact about Clint Eastwood movies-they almost always feature recurring actors and friends from all of his other movies, so you'll recognize many familiar faces.

It's a simple but grand premise--dare to dream.  Billy is a former New York City shoe saleman who decides to abandon the monotony of his life to become a "cowboy."  He assembles a posse of other dreamers and creates a wild west show that he takes on the road to small towns and carnivals.  Only one problem, the world is losing interest.   Oh, and he can't seem to keep an assistant...two problems, I guess.

Clint also directed the movie and calls it one of his personal favorites.  Plus, Merle Haggard makes an appearance and even has two songs on the soundtrack, Misery And Gin, and Barroom Buddies, which he sings with Clint.

It's movie time!  So, grab the corn, sit back, relax, and enjoy this vintage movie trailer.
