The City of Casper is adding plow routes to three subdivisions for the next two to three weeks, according to a news release.

The routes are in the Wolf Creek subdivision in west Casper, the Goodstein subdivision in south Casper, and the Gosfield subdivision in east Casper. The subdivisions are near Wyoming Boulevard.

The city decided to plow these subdivisions because of the recent amount of snowfall and the resulting drifting.

To help the plow crews, subdivision residents should remove their vehicles and avoid parking on the streets so the crews can remove snow from parking and driving lanes.

Plows will go around vehicles parked in the streets, but motorists and residents will be safer if the vehicles are removed.

Crews will plow snow to the middle of streets in windrows, and they will make openings to accommodate vehicle turns.

The city asks residents to avoid driving through windrows because their vehicles may become stuck or damaged by frozen snow.

Crews will be operating both day and night, but a specific schedule has not been set.

Major streets known as arterials and collectors will remain priority for plowing operations.
