All gave some, and some gave all.

It takes a special type of person to volunteer to serve our country. They are choosing to put their life on hold to put on a military uniform with the American flag patch and serve.

Veterans Day has been celebrated in the U.S. since 1919 and has undergone many changes, but one thing that hasn't changed is that the day is set aside to honor the men and women who have served our country. The actual date of Veterans Day bounced until 1978, when it returned to its original date of November 11th and has stayed the same ever since.

It doesn't matter if you were in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, or National Guard or if you served during wartime or peacetime. If you put on the uniform, you're a veteran, and we appreciate every one of you.

Today, if you're a veteran, many places in Wyoming want to thank you for your service.
