While summer doesn't officially start until June 21, Memorial Day marks the unofficial beginning to the hottest season at the movies. Summer loses some of its meaning when you're an adult, since it no longer comes with a moths-long break from the grind. Nevertheless, we can all still enjoy a good movie about summer vacations. It turns out that Bethany Hamilton, the inspiration behind the new movie, Soul Surfer, is a big fan of Carrie Underwood.  That's not too surprising considering that Carrie has her first supporting role in this feature film. The movie opens nationwide on Friday.  It features Annasophia Robb as Hamilton.  It documents the real-life account of how Bethany, a competitive surfer, had her arm bitten off

So far 2011 has been a pretty good year for our friend, Trace Adkins.  His new single, Brown Chicken Brown Cow is burning up the barnyard.  He's also hitting tour stops including Plant City, Florida this Sunday, and heading to Hollywood to promote the release of his new movie, The Lincoln Lawyer.

Hey!  "Happy Valentine's Day!!"  I know that there's no possible way that you're sick of hearing it, and besides, we could be broadcasting it 24/7, and inevitably someone would still be left to say, "What?  Today's Valentine's Day!  How come no one told me?!"

Here we are...Groundhog Day...one of my favorite holidays!  Groundhog Day is more than just an opportunity to find out if we'll be shoveling for six more weeks.  It's also the title of an awesome movie starring Bill Murray, Andie Macdowell, and Chris Elliott...

All right.  If you're like me...and I'm pretty darn sure you are, you never get tired of reliving your childhood through movies.  (I want to thank the Academy for both YouTube and My Country 95.5, which have allowed me to relive some doozies!)

Oh, boy!  She actually brought this up to me the other day.  I think she's starting to feel a little guilty because of the sad, puppy-dog eyes I get everytime I glance at the DVD case when she asks "What should we watch?"

It should come as no shock to those who have seen my posts, that I am a movie fan.  I am also a "bad" movie fan.  Oscar nominations are being revealed tomorrow, but more importantly; the Razzie nominations, for the very "worst" in 2010 cinema were released today...Woo Hoo! Want a peek?
