With this job, it's easy to take for granted all of things that one is able to experience. Amazing concerts, breathtaking sporting events, naked men dancing- it's all been great. The biggest honor, however, comes from being around members of our military and their families.

That's exactly what happened when Thankful Thursdays kicked off for the fall season to raise money and awareness for Wyoming Fallen Heroes. It was all about fun when the night started, but when Russel Hicks, the founder of Wyoming Fallen Heroes took the mic, a hush came upon the crowd. Hicks explained that his son lost his life whilst a member of the US military, and a scholarship was created in his name. When the foundation was turned over to Hicks, he changed the name to Wyoming Fallen Heroes, and subsequently raised thousands of dollars in the name of our fallen heroes.

Beacon patrons stood to their feet to honor the families who lost a loved one, and it was truly one of the most moving moments that have ever come from Thankful Thursdays. Check out these pics from the event.
