Another Great Thankful Thursday Season In The Books
The spring of 2024 Thankful Thursday session has ended, and it was a great couple of months. The start was pushed back a couple of weeks, and we had a couple of organizations that had to cancel, but that didn't stop Casper from coming out and supporting.
Our mission for the event is to raise as much money as possible for each organization participating in the season. 100% of the money raised goes to charitable organizations; we don't keep any portion of the profits.
Even with our season being shortened because of two cancellations, the total amount raised from eight weeks of Thankful Thursday was $139,463. That means eight charities could make a significant amount to add to their organization's missions.
We began on February 22, 2024, with H.D. Outdoors raising over $31,0000
Next, we got to work with Wyoming Senior Citizen's Inc. and their $24,000+
Over $9,400 was made for the Olivia Caldwell Foundation.
The Casper American Legion post #2 added over $12,000 to help veterans in Casper.
Project Kenny had a fantastic night. It raised over $21,000 to help care for dogs being trained to help veterans.
We welcomed back Prairie Wife to help raise over $10,300 for the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative.
We wrapped up the spring 2024 season with the Alliance for Attachment Injured Families by raising over $17,000.
We're taking the summer months off and will start the fall session in September, helping add to the 2024 total money raised for local charities.
If you know of a 501c3 organization that would like to participate in Thankful Thursday, have them complete the application.
